Valentines Day "I LOVE You"

So this is the week before Valentines day a very busy week for me because I work at a Flower shop which I do love doing by the way. But during this week we get some of the most mushy comments that go to our customers. Thus saying I would like to go back a few years. Growing up my mom and dad always gave me and my brothers something for Valentines day; a box of chocolates, candy or something.... I always knew they loved me and I always loved Valentines day because of it. I loved making that tin foil box in school with the hearts on you cut out of construction paper to glue on. Then better yet geting the coolest card from the cutest boy in the class made you feel soooo good (even tho he never saw it that way) that was always a thrill. Needless to say I always tried to make that particular day fun for my own kids. So here's a shout out to my 5 little valentines out there a tribute to you. Ok I tried to put a picture in and 2 hours later no go, so here goes.....

Two of my daugters absolutely Hate Valentines Day, I won't name names they know who they are. A few years back I desided I wanted to make my oldest at least enjoy this day of Valentines. So Lori and I cut out probably hundreds of hearts to heart attack our yard for her. We had a ball making cute sayings on the hearts and getting them all placed in the yard and hanging from the tree out front of our house. There was also I believe some flowers and candy inside that I claimed was left on the front porch from someone annonimous for this said daughter. I had the boy next door sign the card for me so she would not recognize my hand writting(even tho it was plastered all over the yard outside). I had it all planned out and better yet Lori and I had so much fun doing this all day project. I don't remember my daughters response but I think we brighten her day and not only that I'm pretty sure Lori told her who had done it ( she was my most truefull child & couldn't keep a secret Ha Ha!!) Anyway the moral to my story is Yes Valentines day is for those we LOVE that doesn't mean you have to have a boyfriend to enjoy it. Do something fun for someone you love or just even like it will brighten your day and theirs.

So now I only have 1 daughter who HATES Valentines day because she does not have asignificant other but that will pass. There will be a good guy who will be so good to you; you will love him like I love your father. One more shout out to my sweet Husband who is truely my Valentine he is so creative in the things I get for Valentines day so all who are reading this take note ( I don't have any followers really) He gave me some flowers ( 100 pound bag of flour) & chocolates ( 2 large bottles of hershes chocolate surup) I absolutely loved it. Last year he made a flower with boxes of diet coke in a circle on my bedroom floor with an orchid plant in the center; how clever is that. I look forward to this year to see what he will bring me. Even it is a simple kiss that realy is enough. Love you Dave! And I love all my little valentines out there you know who you are.......Happy Valentines Day!!!!!

Trip to Houston in January

Amie was put in the hospital with pneumonia so I wanted to go to Houston to help April for moral support. And because I can, thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Key, I did!

Amie was in the Hospital for 4 days, just as she was getting better, we found out Chloe had Pneumonia as well! When it rains it pours! And it was raining in Houston!



Chloe was glad to see her big sister! You would never know she had pneumonia she was so good.

This is Amie right as she is being released on Friday. She finaly felt like doing something other than laying in bed we were so glad to have her feel better.

Amie was not back to normal but much better than she had been, she was still really tired!

5 days later both girls were so much better they realy have fun with each other

We went to story time at their library Sara was there with her twins and baby James, boy does she have her hands full.

Chloe was having fun too. She kinda got use to me by the end of my stay which was alot of fun....

One day we went to an indoor playground called "Stomping Ground" the kids all had a ball there. Amie is having a rest here....

She liked going through this walking ladder. The weather in Houston was so cold, very damp so different from Las Vegas weather. I had to double up on my clothing there it seemed like I was cold all the time.

Yes and I actualy climbed up in this thing with Chloe and we went down the slide, she loved it! We were the only ones on it at this time. Fun, Fun, Fun. So I know my kids are wondering why I post pictures and blog of Aprils girls that is because I am so computer illiterate she helps me when I'm at her house. I realy am going to try harder at home. I love all you Brandon, Carsen, Ginny, Justin, Grant, Drake & Eva. Yes I have nine grandchildren.

I love being a grandma!!!!

Happy Birthday Channi

Happy BD Channi! Brandon is Channi's oldest who came to visit us this summer he asked about his mom and dad every day he missed them. He is such a good boy we loved having him come visit.

Channi loves to go camping this is us at Wheeler peek last Summer. Carsen and her were the only ones from her family that could come we had a great time.

Channi loves being a mom this is her and Brandon when he was so little . You can tell I'm a new blogger I don't have many pictures of Chan when she was little I need to work on getting more scanned into this computer. Sorry about that Channi.

Here's to my sweet Channi I'm sure she would remember this car that was her's. She has had some real lemmons in the day and but a few with accidents as well. Through it all she ended up with a wonderful husband who now takes care of her so very well Thanks! Leslie we appreciate you and your beautiful family. Happy Birthday Punkin Head! We love you.......

Where did the years go

Just a shout out to Melina she turns 33 today. She is a special Ed teacher. This was their field day. All her life she wanted to be a school teacher and now she is. My little girl a school teacher Wow!

She always loves to give a party for the kids birthdays. This is Justins 1st birthday. And of course Melina is always video taping everything.

Every Summer we have a Truman reunion and that is one of her favorite things to go to. She has been my one child that loves Enterprise this is in Enterprise.

She is the proud mother of two beautiful children Ginny and Justin. They are so cute and little here boy does time fly.

This was a very proud day for her and us. Melina graduated from UNLV in Education sumacumloudi. I probably masicured that word but she work very hard for that degree and many years of school to accomplish it. Happy Birthday Melina we love you!

Summer is here!

We had Brandon and Grant come stay for a week before the beach. Two future Missionaries!

All the cousins had a fun day at the park while Melina's husband Jeff had surgery fun day!

Lori met us at the park to hang out with her niece and all her nephews. It actualy was a real nice day not to hot not to cold.

So they all played a little basket ball.

I had alot of fun just letting them all play. It is so fun to have cousins to play with!

So we hit the beach and the boys had so much fun in the water....

Lori and her friends Jessica and Jaymon got to learn how to surf by a prow Mark Snavely, thank you so much Mark for a blast on the board, your the best.

We went out to dinner on Lori's 20th birthday to one of our favorite Mexican resturants in Carlsbad. Happy Birthday Lori your not a teenager any more!
